This self-purifying electrolyte system enables long-term cycling of full MCMB||NMC811 cells for 1,000 cycles with 91% ultra-high capacity retention at 25°C and for 500 cycles with 81% retention at 60°C.
Even in extreme cases, i.e. exposed to air for 1 h, this electrolyte can still allow a stable charge and discharge cycle of MCMB||NMC811 full cells without degradation, which can greatly simplify LIB manufacturing processes. .
